"Disturbed" One Life Star Charged in NYC Assault

"One Life to Live's" Nathaniel Marston (Michael) was charged with felony assault, reckless endangerment, criminal possession of a weapon and resisting arrest after allegedly attacking three men with a crate — breaking one guy's leg — in the wee hours of Sunday morning in New York City's Hell's Kitchen neighborhood. According to the New York Daily News, Marston flailed his arms and kicked at police officers as they tried to arrest him. He later was taken to Bellevue, where he was labeled "emotionally disturbed" and then released. Police say that Marston appeared to be under the influence of narcotics (possibly cocaine) at the time of the melee. TVGuide.com has a call into OLTL as to Marston's status with the show.

It is not known what triggered the assault, but Marston reportedly had been on edge all week and recently blew up on the OLTL set. "He's got a split personality," a neighbor tells the News. "When I first met him, he seemed chill, but within about the last six months he's gone a little screwy."

In 1999, during his stint on "As the World Turns", Marston was arrested for attacking/damaging an ATM. In 2003, he was killed off of OLTL — by some accounts, because of suspect work habits — but brought back as a different character following fan protest.
