With the new fall prime time season underway, several current and former daytime soap stars are turning up in starring or guesting roles on new series. Here's a rundown:
"Chuck" (Mondays, NBC): Ryan McPartlin (ex-Hank, "Passions") appeared in the pilot episode as Chuck's sister's boyfriend nicknamed "Captain Awesome".
"K-Ville" (Mondays, Fox): Tawny Cypress (ex-Shambala, "All My Children") stars as Ginger.
"Carpoolers" (Tuesdays, ABC): Faith Ford (ex-Julia, "Another World") stars as Leila. Tim Peper (ex-Jimmy, "Guiding Light") stars as Dougie.
"Reaper" (Tuesdays, CW): Ray Wise (ex-Jamie, "Love of Life" and ex-Hal, "Days of our Lives") stars as the Devil.
"Pushing Daisies" (Wednesdays, ABC): Anna Friel (ex-Poppy, "Emmerdale") stars as Chuck. Swoosie Kurtz (ex-Ellie, "As The World Turns") plays Lily.
"Dirty Sexy Money" (Wednesdays, ABC): Natalie Zea (ex-Gwen, "Passions") stars as Karen Darling. Daniel Cosgrove (Bill, "Guiding Light") is a recurring guest star playing Freddy Mason, Karen's fiance. Trevor St. John (Todd, "One Life to Live") guest starred on the pilot as "Dutch", Nick's father, in a flashback.
"Bionic Woman" (Wednesdays, NBC): Not daytime, but Michelle Ryan (ex-Zoey, "EastEnders") stars as Jamie Sommers. Jamie's rival, Sarah Corvis, is played by Katee Sackhoff (ex-Annie, "Undressed").
"Life" (Wednesdays, NBC): Brynn Thayer (ex-Jenny, "One Life to Live") guest starred in the pilot episode.
"Gossip Girl" (Wednesdays, CW): Penn Badgley (ex-Phillip, "The Young and the Restless") stars as Dan. Kelly Rutherford (ex-Sam, "Generations") stars as Darla.
"Big Shots" (Thursdays, ABC): Nia Long (ex-Katie, "Guiding Light") guest starred in the pilot episode as did Wendy Moniz (ex-Dinah, "Guiding Light") and Peyton List (ex-Lucy, "As The World Turns").
"Women's Murder Club" (Fridays, ABC): Aubrey Dollar (ex-Marina, "Guiding Light") stars as Cindy. Rob Estes (ex-Glenn, "Days of our Lives") stars as Tom.
"Moonlight" (Fridays, CBS): Brandon Molale (ex-Hank, "Days of our Lives") guest stars in the pilot as a Demon Guard.
"Viva Laughlin" (Sundays, CBS): Eric Winter (ex-Rex, "Days of our Lives") stars as Peter.
