Sean Blakemore, Tyler Christopher, Roger Howarth, Kelly Monaco & Jason Thompson Visit THE CHEW on October 24th

Five stars from GENERAL HOSPITAL (Sean Blakemore, Tyler Christopher, Roger Howarth, Kelly Monaco and Jason Thompson), Hayden Panettiere (NASHVILLE), Tori Spelling (BEVERLY HILLS, 90210), STAR TREK alum George Takei and Tyler Blackburn (ABC Family's RAVENSWOOD) are among the guests featured next week on THE CHEW (1:00-2:00 p.m. ET) on ABC.

For the week of October 21-25:

MONDAY, OCTOBER 21 – “HOW ‘BOUT THEM APPLES” – Hayden Panettiere (ABC’s NASHVILLE) helps Clinton Kelly make a Roasted Pork Tenderloin with Apples and pulls a hilarious prank on the co-hosts. Matt and Ted Lee, authors of Lee Bros. Charleston Kitchen, make a scrumptious, apple-studded Huguenot Torte, and Carla Hall makes Crispy Peanut Butter Caramel Apples.

TUESDAY, OCTOBER 22 – “NUTS FOR NUTS” – Tyler Blackburn (ABC Family’s RAVENSWOOD) cooks a delicious dish with Daphne Oz and talks about his haunting new series. Since it’s both Chewsday Tuesday and National Nut Day, the studio audience decides which nutty recipe Mario Batali will recreate, and helpful advice from the “Tip-O-Lantern.”

WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 23 – “MEALS FROM THE HEARTLAND” – It’s a “Heck” of a great time, when the whole Heck family—aka, the cast of ABC’s hit comedy THE MIDDLE, Patricia Heaton, Neil Flynn, Charlie McDermott, Eden Sher and Atticus Shaffer visit and cook with Iron Chefs Mario Batali and Michael Symon. The whole cast team up to play a spooky game of Food Pyramid, all about Halloween treats.

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 24 – “FOOD: THE FINAL FRONTIER” – Stars of ABC’s GENERAL HOSPITAL heat up the kitchen when Sean Blakemore, Tyler Christopher, Roger Howarth, Kelly Monaco and Jason Thompson whip up some delicious dishes in the kitchen. Brilliantly funny George Takei (STAR TREK) talks about his new web series, TAKEI'S TAKES, and makes a mouthwatering dish with Mario Batali.

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 25 – “EXTRA VALUE FRIDAY: HAUNTED HALLOWEEN” – Tori Spelling, author of Spelling Like It Is, shows off her crafting skills with Clinton Kelly and a wallet-friendly creation. Michael Symon makes a quick meal perfect for Halloween, and Allison Fishman of Cooking Light lightens up a spooky dessert with Daphne.

  1. Like the cross-promotion but can't stand The Chew.

  2. Much as I would enjoy seeing the GH stars in person, I wish they'd schedule a "digestible" fan meet that does not trigger a distaste for talk shows. LOL. Guess I'll be watching DOOL on Thursday which is more entertaining than The Chew..

  3. The awkward transition when Symon tried to make small talk about GH's 50th anniversary and asked first Kelly, then Roger, how long each had been on the show, was priceless. Roger held the gaze while Symon choked on his question, then simply stated he had been doing another job. It was an interesting exchange, particularly given the circumstances. As for cross promotions, I preferred them in the days of OLTL and AMC. It is good for the cast of The Chew to come face-to-face with the reality that they got their jobs at the cost of many others. Hats off to Roger for making that clear.
