On this date in...

1966: On DARK SHADOWS, after seeing a door briefly opened in the upstairs hallway, Victoria (Alexandra Moltke) learned from David (David Henesy) it was the door to 'the rest of the house' and was locked off 50 years ago.

1986: On SANTA BARBARA, Mason, Mark and Julia reacted to former nun, Mary Duvall McCormick (Harley Jane Kozak), being knocked out with a giant neon letter "C" (for "Capwell" atop the Capwell Hotel) which landed on her while she was standing on the hotel roof.  Mason (Lane Davies) begged her to tell him it would be alright, but Mary died. (This is the Monday episode that picks up where the Friday "C" cliffhanger left off.)

  1. Some may also remember Nick Benedict from THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS where he played photographer, Michael Scott. He became Julia Newman's lover, the man whom her controlling, malevolent husband, Victor, would eventually kidnap and imprison in his cellar. It was the first big Newman story (ca. 1980-81).
