ALL MY CHILDREN and ONE LIFE TO LIVE Going On Hiatus 11 Days Earlier Than Originally Planned

The OnLine Network (TOLN) has released a statement confirming that they are shutting down production of ALL MY CHILDREN and ONE LIFE TO LIVE on Thursday, June 6, 11 days earlier than originally planned.
As a result of a dispute with the I.A.T.S.E., The OnLine Network is beginning a long-planned hiatus for both ‘All My Children’ and ‘One Life To Live’ tomorrow instead of June 17. The hiatus is scheduled to end on August 12 pending resolution of this labor issue. Right now we have 40 episodes of each show ready to post through September, and if we can resolve this issue by August, we can get back into the studio on time so audiences will enjoy uninterrupted postings of their favorite shows.

We believe we have met all contract requirements with I.A.T.S.E, and as an internet start-up, and per our contract with the I.A., we cannot afford, and our business model cannot sustain, traditional broadcast rates.

The writers, directors, actors and rest of crew have been supportive of the shows and our success. Both ‘One Life To Live’ and ‘All My Children’ consistently earn top rankings on both Hulu and iTunes since launch just over a month ago. The popularity of the shows is matched by the continued passion and excitement from the fans. We are committed to these shows, and to the nearly 300 jobs they produce, thus we are exploring every legal and logistical option to maintain our production schedule.

  1. OMG, this is getting beyond ridiculous! First they cut back the shows, leaving the Actors to earn probably less money than they pay for travel and room and board while they do their 5 week stints and then leave, etc. and now this! I have an idea, maybe if you hadn't cut the shows back to 2X per week, you'd all be getting along just fine!

Its bad enuf they've practically ruined AMC already, I mean, can't any man keep it in his pants? Poor Petey, suddenly he forgets how to check his phone to see who's been calling him, even tho he's some head of a company and normally checks his phone religiously, so when Colby intercepts a call and vwella, so it goes...I had hoped that this fairy tale relationship would be off to a better start, atleast. But no, he's just another, well, I wouldn't be able to pass the censors with what I think of him now, so I think I'm through with this one anyways. But OLTL I'll still watch, or will I? Enuf, this bologna should of been sorted out a loooong time ago already. Atleast my old pc won't be overheating as much trying to keep up with the extended video watching and can prolong having to replace.
