DAYTIME RATINGS: THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS & THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL Up

The daytime Nielsen ratings are in for the week of January 28-February 1, 2013. THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS and THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL were both up on Total Viewers. THE TALK and THE CHEW each had their most-watched weeks ever new. So far the soaps have not been mentioned in the network press releases. Check them out below.

From SON:

From ABC:
During the week of January 28, 2013, ABC ranked as Daytime’s #1 network for the 4th week in a row in Women 18-34 (0.6 rating/195,000 - tied), and for the 20th time in the prior 21 weeks.

Gaining viewers for the 4th consecutive week, THE CHEW recorded its most-watched week on record in Total Viewers (2.654 million), up by a solid 19% year to year (vs. 2.234 million). In addition, THE CHEW hit a 10-week high with Women 18-49 (0.7 rtg/456,000) and a 12-week high with Women 25-54 (1.0 rtg/632,000) – since weeks of 11/19/12 and 11/5/12, respectively.

Boasting season highs with Total Viewers (3.533 million) and Women 25-54 (1.4 rtg/841,000), THE VIEW posted its strongest deliveries in 8 months in both demos – since week of 5/14/12. With Women 18-49, THE VIEW notched its best delivery in six weeks (1.0 rtg/617,000) – since week of 12/17/12.

From CBS:
THE TALK, CBS's daytime talk show, matched its largest weekly audience ever, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending Feb. 1.

In a Super Bowl week of shows from New Orleans, THE TALK averaged 2.49 million viewers, 1.1/ 06 in women 25-54 and 0.8/05 in women 18-49.

For the week in the 56 metered markets, THE TALK was up +5% compared to its season average (2.1/07 vs. 2.0/06).
