The 2011 "Fans Choice Indie Soap of the Year Award" includes the Top 20 web series that received the most votes in our weekly poll for the year. A survey went online on January 1, 2012 and will run until February 13 where fans can vote for their favorite indie soap of the year. The winner will be announced during the February 21 Awards ceremony.

Since 2009, the Indie Soap Awards have honored the best in original, serialized web series.  Potential nominees for the Third Annual Indie Soap Awards were accepted from the community at-large for the year of 2011 until December 18, 2011, and every series submitted received full consideration. Winners will be decided by the editors of We Love Soaps along with a panel of the nominees' peers and announced on February 21, 2012.

Directions for submitting clips of the nominees to be played during the ceremony will be distributed shortly.

Congratulations to all the nominees and the entire indie web community that continues to inspire us.

  6. These nominations look pretty bogus- I've seen most of all of these shows and for me, I feel like talented performances and shows were snubbed. This coudn't of been a viewers choice anything. With a few small exceptions this list makes no sense.
were names drawn out of a hat?

  14. Thanks for adding all the new categories from last year, especially cinematography! However you should list the cinematographers' names! You list the writers names & the director's names & editor's names last year. Seems odd & unfair to leave the names out. Any other place cinemataography is nominated, it's nominating the cinematographer by name.

    Cinematographer, In Between Men

  15. It says at the bottom:
"Potential nominees for the Third Annual Indie Soap Awards were accepted from the community at-large for the year of 2011 until December 18, 2011"
I'm a regular on this site and never once saw a place to express opinions on categories for the the awards.
I primarily follow The Bay (and have recently discovered Pretty) but I must say- The Bay was snubbed this year!!!! Along with Martha Madison for Best Lead Actress & Jade Harlow for best Supporting!!!! OMG!! Haven't you been WATCHING?!?!?!!!
