PAID, Inc. and THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL have appointed Stone America, LLC, one of the nation's leading licensing and marketing firms, to develop and license THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL and "Forrester Creations" fashion lifestyle merchandise, to include home, apparel and beauty products, PAID, Inc. President of celebrity services KEITH GARDE announced today.

"This licensing program will extend the television viewing experience into the lives of our viewers in an authentic, fun and exciting way," said THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL's Executive Producer and Head Writer, BRADLEY P. On the future of soaps: "I think if someone can figure out how to do these soaps on a wing and a prayer. The people who pay the bills, they don't want to spend the money on them any more because the advertising dollar isn't there like it used to be. Because of the DVRs and the VCRs taping the shows, they know people aren't watching the commercials anymore. Until somebody can figure out an aesthetically pretty way to do it and still make it good, I think we'll continue to lose soaps."

EGOLI takes its final bow
Lights, camera, action and the end for EGOLI: PLACE OF GOLD, after 4670 episodes. Die-hard fans are in for a treat - 18 commemorative episodes which will run until March , and an EGOLI movie set for release on 16 June. South Africa's first - and longest-running - soap opera made its debut on 6 April, 1992, on Mnet. Its final episode will air tonight.
