ALL MY CHILDREN Names New Head Writers

SOAPnet has confirmed that David Kreizman and Donna Swajeski have been named as co-head writers of ALL MY CHILDREN.

Brian Frons, President, Daytime, Disney ABC-Television Group is happy with the choice.

David and Donna are the perfect team to bring new ideas to ALL MY CHILDREN while remaining true to its core by telling stories with a focus on the integrity of the show's history, its characters and families on the canvas.

Swajeski is excited to return to her roots at AMC.

Working with Agnes Nixon was a highlight of my career. My first job in soaps was as Director of Daytime at ABC. I was assigned to, among other soaps, AMC. I remember sitting next to Agnes in meetings and marveling at how she always went right to the heart of scenes. How she brilliantly crafted the dreamers, the strivers, the connivers, the heroes -- so that we loved everyone of them. At times, Pine Valley was more real to me than Manhattan. I was lucky to learn how to tell story at the feet of a true Master.

  1. Killer Kreizman is damn lucky. The soap gods must love him something fierce!! The guy goes from killing GL to landing at ATWT to now going to AMC.

P&G must love the guy. They gave him ATWT and now release him, it seems, early from his contract to move to AMC. So, would P&G let actors out of their contracts early to take new, more secure paying gigs?

What does this say about ATWT's chances of being picked up by another network??

  2. TestaBlog, I would love to be wrong, but that BRIGHTEN BAY press release from P&G to win a role on ATWT before it ends, didn't give me a great feeling there was a chance it wouldn't end.

  3. I agree, this is a disaster of epic proportions.

What do you do to save your show? Hire the writers that killed two other shows.

    Brilliant!!!

  4. Brighten Bay is a disaster.

Why the heck can't P&G just sell ATWT to another network/production company?

Frankly, given all of this talk about Jay Leno's disastrous talk show destroying NBC's primetime, one wonders if CBS will feel a similar decline in daytime when it drops another pathetic game show or talk show in ATWT's slot.

Sadly, too many sheep embraced the execrable Price is Right.

  5. Add Tom Pelphrey, Ellen Wheeler and you have the ingredients for cancellation.

To save money they can have Wheeler act, direct and produce.

  6. Please write words for Erica as Susan Lucci needs to become a dignified elder. Ryan needs to match up with the gorgeous young Madison.
