'Candy Cain' Holiday Trio of Films Features Former Soap Stars Patrick Muldoon, Carrie Genzel, Terri Garber, Jennifer Bassey, Cynthia Gibb

Former All My Children actress Carrie Genzel stars in the upcoming holiday film Ivy & Mistletoe.
Production has wrapped on the final film in the upcoming "Candy Cain" trio of Christmas-themed romances from writer-director Candice Cain. Production on Painting Christmas, a modern-day fairytale about an artist who receives a magical paintbrush from Santa, wrapped last week in Patchogue, NY. It follows the family-focused Ivy & Mistletoe, also shot on Long Island and the travel romance Destination: Christmas, partially shot on location on the southern European island Republic of Malta.

The holiday trio are produced by Gemelli Films and the Bryant Zamberlan Group, and are written and directed by Cain, based her original stories. The three films will be distributed by the Global Genesis Group in the United States and abroad.

All three films star Big Brother 16 runner-up, actor and model Cody Calafiore in different leading roles opposite actresses Julianne Michelle, Ashley Brinkman, and Taryn Hacker, respectively, as a young couple who unexpectedly find love in unusual circumstances. Supporting cast includes Golden Globe nominee Cynthia Gibb (ex-Suzi, Search for Tomorrow) and two-time Daytime Emmy-nominee Jennifer Bassey (ex-Marian, All My Children).

In Ivy & Mistletoe, Gibb and Carrie Genzel (ex-Skye, All My Children) star as the characters' mothers, each of whom have their own special role to play in bringing the holiday lovebirds together.

Destination: Christmas features former Disney Channel teen idol Clayton Snyder and Abigail Hawk as the sibling and friend who unwittingly place the couple on a path to love when they bow out of pre-planned trips to the Republic of Malta.

Painting Christmas features a parade of stage, television, and film favorites familiar to viewers from every genre and generation. Hallmark favorite and scream queen Crystal Lowe leads a supporting cast including Frank Whaley, Indie Series Award winner Terri Garber (ex-Iris, As the World Turns), Al Sapienza and Patrick Muldoon (ex-Austin, Days of our Lives).

Producers for the three films include Amy Minter and Benjamin Bryant. Olivia Balsinger serves as Executive Producer for Destination: Christmas and Painting Christmas.
