1979: Another World's Alice wasn't sure she should marry Dan.
1979: Guiding Light's newly arrived Ross rook Roger's case.
1990: General Hospital's "Duke" died in Anna's arms.
2004: All My Children's Bianca gave birth to Miranda.

On this date in...

1968: On Dark Shadows, Victoria Winters (Alexandra Moltke) was shot in the shoulder after a struggling over a gun with her prison guard (Howard Honig). Peter Bradford (Roger Davis) and Victoria attempted to leave the jail.



1976: On Ryan's Hope, Johnny (Bernard Barrow) made peace with Mary (Kate Mulgrew), despite his conviction that Jack Fenelli was not the man for her. Meanwhile, Faith arrived home and settled in but Kenneth was lurking.

1979: On Another World, Alice Matthews Frame Frame Gordon (Susan Harney) was indifferent when Dan Shearer (Brian Murray) talked about their wedding plans.



1979: On Guiding Light, Adam Thorpe (Robert Milli) found a lawyer to represent his son Roger (Michael Zaslow): Ross Marler (Jerry verDorn), who had just arrived in Springfield.

"I know you've been accused of raping your wife, and I know there's a new law here that allows those charges, and that this would be a test case," Ross told him.

Later, Hope Bauer (Elvera Roussel) returned to Springfield, and a judge awarded custody of Phillip (Jarrod Ross) to Elizabeth (Lezlie Dalton) instead of Alan (Christopher Bernau) and Jackie (Cindy Pickett) Spaulding.

1982: On Dallas, Bobby Ewing's (Patrick Duffy) worst fears were realized when Jeff Farraday was murdered; but a much worse blackmailer took his place - his brother J.R. (Larry Lagman). With copies of Christopher's adoption records in his possession, J.R. realized that he was probably the real father and could force Bobby to do his will so that Pam would never find out.



1985: On Santa Barbara, C.C. (Charles Bateman) was shocked to learn his late wife, Sophia (Judith McConnell), was alive.





1987: On Capitol, Sloane Denning (Debrah Farentino) faced charges of treason in the war-torn Middle Eastern country of Baracq.

1990: On General Hospital, Anna Devane Lavery (Finola Hughes) tried to go for help for Duke Lavery (Greg Beecroft) but he insisted it was too late. He died in her arms just as Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) arrived. Robert and Katherine called off their wedding.



1991: On Guiding Light, Maureen Bauer (Ellen Parker) told her husband, Ed (Peter Simon), that she was seeing Dr. Sedwick about a possible procedure that might allow her to have a baby.

1997: Camryn Grimes debuted as Cassie Newman (then known as Cassie Johnson) on The Young and the Restless. In the episode, the prison matron brought Grace the note that Mr. Becker wrote for her before he died that mentioned Alice. Tony and Grace (Jennifer Gareis) went to a house at the address Becker provided but learned Alice no longer lived there. As they drove away, a school bus dropped off a little girl (Cassie), who went inside the house they had just visited.

2004: On All My Children, Bianca Montgomery (Eden Riegel) gave birth to a baby girl, Miranda.
