Showtime 2013/2014 Winter Programming Overview

January is jam packed! Kicking off the Sunday night lineup at 9 p.m. ET/PT is the fourth season of SHAMELESS, starring William H. Macy and Emmy Rossum, followed by season three of HOUSE OF LIES, starring Don Cheadle and Kristen Bell at 10 p.m., and season three of EPISODES at 10:30 P.M. ET/PT.

SHAMELESS (Season 4)

SHAMELESS, starring Academy Award(R) nominee William H. Macy and Golden Globe(R) nominee Emmy Rossum, picks up a few weeks after season three left off - with the Gallaghers braving another brutal Chicago winter and waiting on the medical fate of their flawed, permanently pickled patriarch, Frank (Macy). With Fiona (Rossum) in a stable job and relationship, and Lip (Jeremy Allen White) enrolled in college, can the Gallaghers finally realize the middle class American dream?

HOUSE OF LIES (Season 3)

HOUSE OF LIES starring Don Cheadle (Iron Man 3) in his twice Emmy-nominated and Golden Globe-winning performance as elite consultant Marty Kaan, starts season 3 as the wreckage from his decision to launch his own firm has spilled onto the Pod -- the almighty quartet is disbanded. But while Marty is preoccupied with hustling up new clients, his former mentee Jeannie (Kristen Bell) is channeling her inner Kaan and making big moves in his absence. Guest stars this season include Eliza Coupe (Happy Endings), Mekhi Phifer (Lie to Me) and T.I. (Boss).

In season three of EPISODES, Sean (Stephen Mangan) and Beverly (Tamsin Greig), the English couple whose hit U.K. sitcom is remade for U.S. audiences and corrupted beyond recognition, are back together but they soon discover that it's not so easy to heal old wounds. Things get no easier for Matt LeBlanc this year as his career and ego continue to be pummeled. New guest stars include Chris Diamantopoulos (24) in a season-long arc as the new head of the network; Roger Bart (Revenge) appears in four episodes as Matt's agent; along with Tracy Spiridakos (Revolution) as a family member of actress Morning Randolph (Mircea Monroe).

LAUGH OUT LOUD COMEDY SPECIALS

F#CK NICK CANNON
Premieres: Saturday, November 16th, 2013 at 10 p.m. (ET/PT)

In his follow up to his tremendously successful debut comedy special Mr. Showbiz, the wildly popular comic-actor-musician-host responds to anyone who's ever said, "F#CK NICK CANNON." A recent health scare has changed how he sees the world and he is here to share his unique perspective on getting older, raising children, and living with his famous wife (Mariah Carey). Nick Cannon doesn't care what the haters think, and that's what gives him his hilarious edge. Taped at the River Rock Casino in Vancouver, BC.

COMEDY WARRIORS
Premieres: Thursday, December 5th, 2013 at 8 p.m. (ET/PT)

In COMEDY WARRIORS, five severely wounded Iraq/Afghanistan veterans are given the opportunity to explore their experiences through the healing power of humor. This film follows their journey as they work with professional comedy writers, and A-List comedians: Zach Galifianakis, Lewis Black, Bob Saget and B.J. Novak, who help them write and perform their own personal stand-up comedy routines. This exciting venture gives them new comedic perspectives from which to view their injuries and their lives, and culminates in one big night performing at LA's top comedy clubs.

ANOTHER DAY/ ANOTHER TIME: THE MUSIC OF "INSIDE LLEWYN DAVIS"

New episodes every Wednesday throughout the NFL season

60 MINUTES SPORTS
New episodes on the first Wednesday of each month (*In January it will air on the 8th)

CBS News and SHOWTIME Sports partner on a sports newsmagazine series that debuted in November 2012 titled 60 MINUTES SPORTS. The sister networks have combined to offer first-class investigations and features on today's biggest stories and compelling profiles of the most important and intriguing personalities in sports. The series, which airs the first Wednesday of every month on SHOWTIME, represents the first time original 60 MINUTES content has aired on a cable network. The first name in news is now the last word in sports.

AGAINST THE TIDE
Premieres: Friday, November 15th, 2013 at 10 p.m. (ET/PT)

The feature-length documentary film by Emmy Award-winning producer Ross Greenburg chronicles the seminal 1970 college football matchup between the University of Alabama and the University of Southern California. The documentary paints a vivid picture of the turbulent state of Southern culture during the Civil Rights Movement, posing the question, "Did University of Alabama coach Paul "Bear" Bryant and University of Southern California coach John McKay purposefully schedule the first game of the 1970 season - the first time a fully integrated team had played in Alabama - as a statement against segregation?"

SHOBOX: THE NEW GENERATION

A spinoff of SHOWTIME CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING, "ShoBox: The New Generation" debuted in 2001 and spotlights young, up-and-coming fighters - the future stars of the sports - in crowd-pleasing, competitive fights. ShoBox offers a proving ground for willing prospects to step up their level of opposition on a national stage and has helped launch the careers of more than 45 world champions. The Dec. 6th fight card includes Mayweather Promotions fighters J'Leon Love, Badou Jack and Mickey Bey.

ALL ACCESS: BRONER VS. MAIDANA
Premieres: Saturday, December 7th, 2013 at 7:30 p.m. (ET)/ 4:30 p.m. (PT)

SHOWTIME Sports will offer the latest chapter of its award winning original documentary series ALL ACCESS in advance of the final SHOWTIME CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING event of the year. ALL ACCESS: Broner vs. Maidana takes viewers into the dramatic lives of Adrien Broner and Marcos Maidana and their respective camps as they prepare for their WBA Welterweight World Championship fight in San Antonio on Dec. 14th.

SHOWTIME CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING: JUDAH VS. MALIGNAGGI
Live Saturday, December 7th, 2013 at 8 p.m. (ET)/ 5 p.m. (PT)

SHOWTIME Sports presents the battle for Brooklyn bragging rights between former five-time, two-division World Champion Zab "Super" Judah and former two-time, two-division World Champion Paulie "Magic Man" Malignaggi. The Brooklyn natives will go head to head at the Barcalys Center. The four-fight card will also feature three world championship bouts.

SHOWTIME CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING: BRONER VS. MAIDANA
Live Saturday, December 14th, 2013 at 8 p.m. (ET)/ 5 p.m. (PT)

SHOWTIME CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING concludes a record-setting year with "Danger Zone," headlined by boxing's hottest and most popular young star, Adrien "The Problem" Broner, defending his welterweight world title against the hard-punching Marcos Maidana. Broner has been called "...a brash knockout artist" by the Associated Press and "...boxing's most electrifying young talent" by the Wall Street Journal. His skills in the ring, along with his larger-than-life personality, have led many to label him as the next Floyd Mayweather. Broner will face the #2-ranked contender, Argentina's Marcos Maidana, who has won by KO in 31 of his 34 victories and will undoubtedly be Broner's toughest test to date. The four-fight card will feature three world championship matchups.
