Khandi Alexander (LaDonna, TREME) has joined the cast of SCANDAL.[SPOILER ALERT]
Alexander will recur as Maya Lewis, late mother of Kerry Washington's Olivia Pope, and will start appearing in flashbacks beginning with this Thursday's episode, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
During last week's SCANDAL, Huck (Guillermo Diaz) and Jake (Scott Foley) discovered that President Fitzgerald Grant (Tony Goldwyn) shot down a civilian airliner with more than 300 passengers on board, including Olivia's mother, under orders from Olivia's dastardly father, Rowan (Joe Morton).
Alexander currently stars in HBO's TREME, which kicks off an abbreviated fourth and final season December 1 on HBO.
