"I am so excited about this decision," she says. "It's been on my mind for over a year. I am so grateful to Days for 20 years of steady employment — it's been a fantastic opportunity — but I finally had to stop and ask myself, 'What really makes me happy? What really brings me joy in life?' And it's not acting. I just don't want to do this anymore."

This is sad. But we suspected as much when Lexie reunited with Abe, and then after making love came down with a sudden headache. With her mother Celeste returning and half-brother arriving in Salem - it looks like there's a dramatic exit planned for Lexie. I guess recasting isn't in the budget. :(
