Eileen Davidson on Chris Engen, MTS & her new book

In a new interview with TV Guide Canada's Nelson Branco, THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS star Eileen Davidson (Ashley) talks about her new book, "Dial Emmy for Murder," the latest happenings on Y&R, and even the Deidre Hall and Drake Hogestyn firings.

On Chris Engen leaving the role of Adam in the middle of a huge storyline...

When Chris told me he was leaving, I told him he really accomplished something by being so likable playing this villain. For someone like me who is playing a heroine on this show, I would give my eyeballs and teeth to play a character like Adam Newman. When the writing got better, that’s when Chris became unhappy!

On Melody Thomas Scott potentially leaving Y&R...

I think she’ll stay with Y&R. You know, I was more shocked about her leaving the show than when I was fired from Y&R a few years back! You can’t air Y&R without Nikki Newman!
