Fans of GUIDING LIGHT (including myself) will meet at 7:30am this Friday at the CBS EARLY SHOW in New York City (5th Avenue and 59th Street). For all the details, visit savethelightrally.com.
just wanted to let you know that those of us who can't be in NYC for the rally on friday will be finding our own ways to "fight the fight". i plan on calling GL and CBS and P&G on friday to tell them that i support the show and that i wish i could be at the rally. hopefully several of my purple peeps over at BPD will be joining me.
we all have to work together to find Guiding Light a new, loving and supportive home.
I'm with Collins...for every person who attends this rally, there are literally thousands of us who can be in NYC in spirit, if not in body. I'd advise soap fans to attend, even if they don't watch GL, regularly. The cancelation of GL is bad news for ALL soaps. If the grand-daddy of them all can be thrown away like this, the future looks bleak for the entire genre. If you're a soap fan in NYC, go to the rally and fly your freak flag.
