Kathleen Turner injured in Off Broadway show

Kathleen Turner, who played Nola on THE DOCTORS (the role Kim Zimmer later played), sustained a knee injury while performing in "The Third Story" Off Broadway in New York on Tuesday evening. Her absence forces the cancellation of three performances of the Charles Busch play, The New York Times reports.

She will return in time for Saturday's matinee -- holding a cane and wearing a brace -- and the show will resume its regular performance schedule.

"The Third Story" revolves around a mother-and-son screenwriting team who flee Hollywood for Omaha in the 1940s.
