Longtime THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS star Jeanne Cooper (Katherine Chancellor) will be honored with the AMEE Award in Entertainment during the 2009 AFTRA Media and Entertainment Excellence Awards gala on March 9 at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel in Los Angeles.Other honorees include Smokey Robinson (AMEE Award in Sound Recordings) and Vin Scully (Wards in Broadcasting).
Don LaFontaine, "King of Voiceovers," will be posthumously presented with a special tribute.
Previous AMEE recipients include Don Hewitt, Ed Bradley and Susan Lucci.
The AMEES recognize members of AFTRA who have made a significant contribution to American culture.
