Netflix Picks Up Carol Burnett Unscripted Comedy 'A Little Help'

Comedy legend (and All My Children fan and guest star) Carol Burnett is coming to Netflix with the original unscripted comedy A Little Help with Carol Burnett. Featuring pint-sized opinions from a panel of straight-talking 4-8-year-olds, Burnett and her guests will reveal how a different generation solves life's biggest dilemmas.

In each of the 12 half-hour episodes, both celebrities and everyday people will bring their real-life issues to a gaggle of kids who dish back hilarious, hard-hitting guidance--all in front of a live studio audience. The series will premiere in 2018.

"Someone once asked me how old I am inside," said Burnett. "I thought about it, and came up with, 'I'm about eight.' So it's going to be a lot of fun playing with kids my age."

"We're thrilled Carol is bringing her unique sensibilities to Netflix," said Bela Bajaria, Vice President, Content Acquisition for Netflix. "Carol is truly a legend in the entertainment industry with unprecedented success and fandom across TV, film and the stage, and we are both honored and excited to work with her."

Guts, Glitter, Glory... Are you ready to 'GLOW'?

My favorite series this summer is GLOW, which premiered June 23rd on Netflix. GLOW tells the fictional story of Ruth Wilder (Brie), an out-of-work, struggling actress in 1980s Los Angeles who finds one last chance for stardom when she's thrust into the glitter and spandex world of women's wrestling.

In addition to working with 12 Hollywood misfits, Ruth also has to compete with Debbie Eagan (Betty Gilpin), a former soap actress who left the business to have a baby, only to be sucked back into work when her picture perfect life is not what it seems. And at the wheel is Sam Sylvia (Marc Maron), a washed-up, B-movie director who now must lead this group of women on the journey to wrestling stardom.

With a top notch cast, on-point writing, and great '80s music, GLOW is must-see streaming TV.

Check out a behind the scenes look at the show in the video below.

All donations made through the website will go to Hurst's sister to cover her medical expenses and time off work, according to Hurst's page.

Many of Hurst's OITNB co-stars have been sharing the link to her YouCaring page on social media.
