Mary Hanes Dead at 59
Hanes, teaming with husband Ken Hanes, co-executive produced five episodes of ABC Family’s primetime soap opera MAKE IT OR BREAK IT, which ended in may. They also wrote an episode of the series.
She co-developed and exec produced the 1999-2000 series HOPE ISLAND for Pax TV and served as a writer-producer on the 2001 WB network series DEAD LAST.

INTERVIEW: Ayla Kell Previews Spring Premiere Of MAKE IT OR BREAK IT
She also played the young Barbara Mandrell in the TV movie The Barbara Mandrell Story. Her feature film work includes The Omega Code, Rebound, and What Just Happened.
Kell began seriously studying ballet at a young age and danced with American Ballet Theater at the Kodak Theater in Hollywood as 'Greta' in The Nutcracker. She completed 15 years of Royal Academy of Dance ballet training at the Los Angeles Ballet Academy and competed in the finals at the Youth America Grand Prix in New York City and was a featured dancer at Valentino's International Carousel in Tokyo, Japan.
Kell is now starring on MAKE IT BREAK IT as Payson Keeler. The show returns on Monday, March 26 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on ABC Family. She spoke with the media last week about the new season and you will find the transcript below.

PREVIEW: ABC Family Tuesday Night Soap SWITCHED AT BIRTH
Daphne and Bay join forces to plan an ASL zombie movie shoot for Emmett’s birthday while he struggles with whether or not to tell Bay what he’s done, in an all-new episode of SWITCHED at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
In "The Sleep of Reason Produces Monsters," Daphne and Bay plan the perfect birthday for Emmett — an ASL zombie movie shoot with their friends and family. While Emmett is excited about the event, he’s also torn up inside about what happened with Simone and how it will hurt Bay. Simone wants to keep what happened between her and Emmett a secret, but someone finds out and threatens to expose their secret.
Meanwhile, Kathyrn is devastated to find out that John has been revealing some secrets of their own and Regina has second thoughts about contributing to Kathyrn’s book.
