As we count down to the 3rd Annual Indie Soap Awards on Feb. 21, we will feature the shows nominated for Best Web Series, Comedy and Drama.
Up next is Best Web Series (Comedy) nominee, TRAILER MADE, created by Jason Vitteri-Lewis. The show centers around the dysfunctional relationships and never-ending drama among a wild group of trailer park housewives:
Tapioca (played by ISA nominee Laura Thomas), the sex-crazed ex-beauty queen, forced to care for her bedridden, impotent husband; Mamaw, the silver-tongued pot-dealin' granny, strugglin' with bills and a pair of mis-sized breast implants; Chrystal, a twenty-nine year old mother, who realizes that a rare form of narcolepsy has left her with eleven children; Prudence, widow of Reverend Meriwether, whose tax frauds leave her penny-less and fraught until a conversation with God gives her purpose again; Loretta, the sauced and sassy trailer park manager, who rules her roost with an iron fist full of Coors Light; Guadalupe, a Mexican telenovela actress posing as the girls' galpal Mary Lou, who is supposedly returning from an extensive plastic surgery makeover.

ISA NOMINEE SPOTLIGHT: FUMBLING THRU THE PIECES
As we count down to the 3rd Annual Indie Soap Awards on Feb. 21, we will feature the shows nominated for Best Web Series, Comedy and Drama.
Up next is Best Web Series (Comedy) nominee, FUMBLING THRU THE PIECES, created by Julie A. Smith. FUMBLING follows the lives of characters "fumbling" their way through life as they handle marriage and career issues, and deal with all the relationships in their lives. Soap fans love complicated relationships and will love the dynamics between everyone on this web series.
Indie Soap Award winner Hillary B. Smith from ONE LIFE TO LIVE (soon to be on THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL) leads an all-star cast which includes fellow ISA nominees Diane Delano (Supporting Actress), Robert Maffia (Supporting Actor) and Tara Chocol-Joyce (Breakout Performance). Smith is nominated again, this time in the Lead Actress category.

ISA NOMINEE SPOTLIGHT: CASUAL The Series
As we count down to the 3rd Annual Indie Soap Awards on Feb. 21, we will feature the shows nominated for Best Web Series, Comedy and Drama.
Up next is Best Web Series (Drama) nominee, CASUAL, the story a 'casual' relationship between a Guy (ISA Lead Actor nominee Brian Thomas Smithand) a Girl (Lauren Marini) who feel their way through the aftermath of a one night stand. Written and directed beautifully by ISA nominee Jay Diaz (nominated for both), CASUAL tells a sweet long-story everyone can relate to if you've ever fallen in love. The entire series is shot and edited beautifully as well.
In 2011, the back and forth of the relationship between the leads continued as CASUAL aired its third and final season. In a come-full-circle ending back in the fall, the show left fans with a satisfying conclusion to the characters they fell in love with from the very first episode.

As we count down to the 3rd Annual Indie Soap Awards on Feb. 21, we will feature the shows nominated for Best Web Series, Comedy and Drama.
Up next is Best Web Series (Drama) nominee, OUT WITH DAD, the story of Rose (ISA nominee Kate Conway) as she comes of age and comes out to her dad, Nate (ISA nominee Will Conlon). Nate has raised Rose as a widow since she was a baby, but how did he react when she finally came out to him?
Lindsey Middleton (who plays Vanessa) and Wendy Glazier (Vanessa's mother, Theresa) are also nominated this year and the show received nods for Writing and Music as well.
Creator Jason Leaver has crafted beautiful story that draws viewers in and always leaves you wanting more. Watch the wonderful Season 2 premiere below:

As we count down to the 3rd Annual Indie Soap Awards on Feb. 21, we will feature the shows nominated for Best Web Series, Comedy and Drama.
Up next is Best Web Series (Drama) nominee, RAGGED ISLE, which premiered in 2011 as the story of Vicki Burke, who accepted a job as a newspaper photographer on a remote island off the coast of Maine. And this is the real Maine by the way, not a Hollywood recreation. The show picked up seven ISA nominations and is also up for the Fan's Choice Award.
From the direction to cinematography to the true ensemble cast, RAGGED ISLE is a modern day TWIN PEAKS meets DARK SHADOWS meets THE X-FILES.

As we count down to the 3rd Annual Indie Soap Awards on Feb. 21, we will feature the shows nominated for Best Web Series, Comedy and Drama.
Up next is Best Web Series (Comedy) nominee, PRETTY, created by the masterful Steve Silverman. The show picked up 13 ISA nominations this year (more than any other show) and is also up for the Fan's Choice Award. Stacey McQueen and Sam Pancake lead an all-star cast which won the ISA Best Ensemble Award in 2011. For fans of daytime soap operas who haven't checked out PRETTY yet, you will notice a lot of familiar faces: Genie Francis, Denise Alexander, Martha Byrne, Terrell Ransom Jr. are all appearing in Season 3 which is currently running. Some of our favorite web series stars like Anthony Anderson of ANACOSTIA and Brendan Bradley from SQUATTERS also appear.
McQueen plays six-year-old Annette Champagne, who is currently competing in the Miss Black Star Eyes pageant. There is nothing else like it in any medium of entertainment so don't miss out!

The concept began as a film in 2004 and then was turned into a web series that took the internet by storm in 2011. The show, a mockumentary about the entertainment industry which bills itself as "a strange dark little comment on our society," has 11 nominations for the ISAs including Emma Caulfield and Tracie Thoms for Best Actress (Comedy).

ISA NOMINEE SPOTLIGHT: THURSTON The Western Web Series
As we count down to the 3rd Annual Indie Soap Awards on Feb. 21, we will feature the shows nominated for Best Web Series, Comedy and Drama.
We start with a Drama nominee, THURSTON, a Western drama about residents of a remote mining town and their struggle for survival in the Kansas Ozarks. Created and written by Kathryn O'Sullivan, and directed by her husband Paul Awad, the show stars Catherine Frels as tough but troubled Maggie Callaway.
