Hey Roger!
Alan Carter here.
The article says TV Cable Week was there, and I was there as well as People and ... well, just about every other publication known to man. lol
Im guessing I covered it for them...but for the life of me, I cant remember being there live. About the only thing that really registers to me from that period was Michael Corbett shirtless and how nice Mary Stuart was. HA!
I also remember the flood more...and how sad it was the show had to pull out so many silly stunts to get attention. In hindsight, it was better than 87 percent of the stuff on now.
Forgive me for not remembering more...but this WAS 26 years ago, and I've already forgotten what I had for breakfast this morning! lolAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2585163331194032530.post-21946657488840228642009-02-25T15:46:00.000-05:002009-02-25T15:46:00.000-05:00Nelson, I'm actually waiting for my copy to arrive...Nelson, I'm actually waiting for my copy to arrive in the mail. I have a lot of SEARCH memories in my new book, HOLLYWOOD INSIDER: EXPOSED! An entire chapter on "My Mentor: Mary Stuart," in case any other Golden Age soap fans are interested :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2585163331194032530.post-83405363757543595252009-02-25T13:35:00.000-05:002009-02-25T13:35:00.000-05:00Interesting. I was there that summer day at the SFT studios from United Features Syndicate and I think my friend Alan Carter from People was there too.

It was totally unprofessional to do a stunt like this. Joanna Lee was a jerk. The show got cancelled! This is what desperation looked like!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
