1980: Days of our Lives' Marlena was devastated when her son died.
1986: Santa Barbara's Eden faced off with a shark.
1989: As the World Turns' Lily tried to leave Montega.
2004: Days' Marlena was overjoyed to find Abe alive.

1941: NBC Radio soap opera Buck Private and His Girl premiered. The series ran for three months.

1948: On radio soap Claudia, Claudia was late for her train.

1964: On Another World, tempers flared between Liz (Audra Lindley) and Janet (Liza Chapman).

1980: On Days of our Lives, Marlena (Deidre Hall) and Don's (Jed Allan) son, DJ, died of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS). Watch below:

1986: On Santa Barbara, Kirk (Robert Newman) threw Eden (Marcy Walker) to the sharks, and Cruz (A Martinez) jumped in after her.



1989: On As the World Turns, Lily (Martha Byrne) was under duress as she tried to leave Montega.



1993: At the 20th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards, winners included The Young and the Restless (Drama Series), David Canary, Linda Dano, Gerald Anthony, Ellen Parker, Monti Sharp and Heather Tom.





1994: On General Hospital, Luke dropped by Mary Mae's with questions about the loaded gun Lucky and Sly found in the Wards' attic and learned that her son Bradley did occasionally arm himself following threats of violence. Felicia told Tony she could never thank him enough for the generous gesture which saved her daughter's life. Sean reported to Mac that the driver of the car which ran B.J.'s school bus off the road was drunk and would be charged with vehicular homicide. Bobbie returned to the brownstone and told Tony he could not run her out of her own home. Monica noticed her breast was tender. Later, she made love with Alan. Damian stopped by Lucy's to tell her he slept with Bobbie as per their bet. Robin learned Felicia and Mac had called things off. Lucy warned Bobbie to show up at her apartment tomorrow night if she wanted proof that Damian seduced her on a bet.

1999: On Another World, Cass (Stephen Schnetzer) tried to reassure Paulina (Judi Evans), who was on trial for murdering Grant Harrison.



2004: On Days of our Lives, Marlena (Deidre Hall) was overjoyed to find out Abe (James Reynolds) was alive, and she hadn't murdered him.
