On April 28, One Life to Live stars Ilene Kristen (Roxy), Kristen Alderson (Star), Tonja Walker (Alex) and Jason Tam (Markko) were on hand for opening night of "The Marvelous Wonderettes," a musical revival starring their former co-star, Kathy Brier (Marcie).

"The Marvelous Wonderettes" takes a cotton-candied colored musical trip down memory lane to the 1958 Springfield High School prom where we meet “The Wonderettes”, four girls with hopes and dreams as big as their crinoline skirts. Audiences experience their lives and loves from prom night to their ten year reunion as told through more than twenty chart topping hits of the fifties and sixties including “Lollipop,” “Dream Lover,” “Son of a Preacher Man,” “Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me,” and “It’s My Party.”

Created, written, and originally directed by Roger Bean, the previous New York production played at the West Side Theatre from September 2008 to January 2010.

I caught up with Alderson, Kristen and Brier on the red carpet. Watch the interviews below.

On opening night, "The Marvelous Wonderettes" starred Christina Bianco as Missy, Kathy Brier as Suzy, Jenna Leigh Green as Cindy Lou, and Sally Schwab as Betty Jean.

On May 5, Brier surprised fans by announcing she was no long with the show.

"FB friends, family and fans, I will no longer be with the company of The Marvelous Wonderettes," Brier posted on Facebook. "If you already purchased tickets to see me in the show please call your point of purchase for a refund if you wish. If you have any problems ask the point of purchase for the direct phone number to The Kirk Theatre's Box Office."
