1964: On Another World, Mitchell Dru (Geoffrey Lumb) asked John Randolph to take on Pat Matthew's case. Michael M. Ryan and Gaye Huston made their first appearances as John and Lee Randolph.
1967: On Dark Shadows, Julia Hoffman (Grayson Hall) panicked when Woodard's ghost appeared.
1979: On As the World Turns, Barbara Ryan (Colleen Zenk) and Tom Hughes (Tom Tammi) had an awkward encounter.
1979: On The Edge of Night, Nola Madison (Kim Hunter) prepared to kill Deborah Saxon (Frances Fisher).
1981: On General Hospital, the women of Port Charles celebrated Laura's (Genie Francis) upcoming wedding to Luke Spencer with a bachelorette party.
1984: On Another World, after Alice Matthews Frame (Jacqueline Courtney) left Mark Singleton's (Robin Thompson) bedside in the hospital, the blue-stoned ring wearer pulled the plug on Mark's respirator.
1984: On Santa Barbara, John Perkins (Robert Alan Browne, in his final appearance) died from injuries after the earthquake. Warren Lockridge (John Allen Nelson) saved Ted, Augusta and Lionel, who were trapped at the bottom of a cliff.
1984: On primetime soap opera Paper Dolls, Julia Blake (Brenda Vaccaro) secretly canceled Taryn's (Nicollette Sheridan) tour plans with John Waite, Meanwhile, David Fenton (Richard Beymer) assured Wesley (Dack Rambo, who would have turned 74 today) that they would get Blair (Mimi Rogers) back, and a mysterious man stalked Laurie Caswell (Terry Farrell).
1985: On Santa Barbara, Amy Perkins (Kerry Sherman) and Brick Wallace (Richard Eden) were married.
1989: On As the World Turns, Emily Stewart (Melanie Smith) was asked on the witness stand if her relationship with Paul Ryan Stenbeck had become sexual.
1989: On Guiding Light, Phillip Spaulding (Grant Aleksander) attempted to dig up the grave of Beth Raines until Rick Bauer (Michael O'Leary) and the cops stopped him.
1990: On The Young and the Restless, Danny (Michael Damian) and Cricket (Lauralee Bell) prepared to leave for their wedding in Hawaii.
1995: Daytime soap opera The City, a spin-off of Loving, premiered on ABC. The cast included the survivors of the serial killer storyline on Loving, including Ally Alden (aura Wright), Steffi Brewster (Amelia Heinle), Alex Masters (Randolph Mantooth), Angie Hubbard (Debbi Morgan), Tess Wilder (Catherine Hickland), Buck Huston (Philip Brown), Danny Roberts (Ted King), Jocelyn Roberts (Lisa Lo Cicero), Jacob Foster (Darnell Williams), Frankie Hubbard (Alimi Ballard), Richard Wilkins (Corey Page) and Tony Soleito (George Palermo). New characters included Zoey (Joni Allen), Nick Rivers (Roscoe Born), Joey Soleito (James Sioutis), Bernard Castro (Philip Anthony-Rodriguez), Sydney Chase (Morgan Fairchild), Azure C (Carlotta Chang) and Molly Malone (Melissa Dye).
1995: On General Hospital, after learning she was HIV-positive, Robin Scorpio was visited by the spirit of her late mother, Anna Devane. It was Devane's first return to the soap after Anna's "death" in 1992.

2003: Actress Kellie Waymire died at age 36. She played Emily Haynes in One Life to Live and Melissa on Six Feet Under.
2003: On One Life to Live, Blair Cramer (Kassie DePaiva) married "Walker Laurence" (Trevor St. John).
2008: Eric Martsolf debuted as Brady Black on Days of our Lives.

Wow! Hard to imagine that its been 20 years since The City premiered. That's was a great show. Far ahead of its time, especially with its use of location shooting.
