Written and directed by Lance Kawas (Fractured), Golden Shoes, the Dove-family-approved movie for ages 12+, arrives on on DVD and On Demand October 6 from Anchor Bay Entertainment.

The film stars a number of familar faces from the world of soaps, including Dina Meyer (ex-Lucinda, Beverly Hills, 90210), Eric Roberts (ex-Ted, Another World), David DeLuise, Christian Koza, Montel Williams (ex-Clayton, Guiding Light) and Aedin Mincks, with Vivica A. Fox (ex-Maya, Generations), John Rhys-Davies, John Wesley Shipp (ex-Douglas, As the World Turns; ex-Kelly, Guiding Light) and Joshua Morrow (Nick, The Young and the Restless).

John Wesley Shipp plays the President.

As long as he could remember, eight-year-old Christian Larou (Koza) dreamed of being a great soccer player like his idol, Cristiano Ronaldo. When his father (Morrow) is deployed to Afghanistan, his mother (Meyer) is hospitalized and he's subjected to intense bullying at school, Christian pours himself into the game he loves. With the help of some very special shoes, can Christian lead his team to the championship, inspire an entire nation, and bring his family together again?

Y&R's Joshua Morrow plays George Larou, while The Flash's John Wesley Shipp plays a very convinces President of the United States.

Golden Shoes is a family-friendly, feel-good film, and an enjoyable watch.
