Emmy-winning producer wanted for allegedly stabbing roommate over Oscars joke
Andre Bauth, whose real name is Andre Salaman Bautista, is wanted on charges of attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon after his roommate was stabbed with a kitchen knife. Bautista won a daytime Emmy earlier this year as a producer for the soap opera The Bay.

A man who identified himself as the stabbing victim, 23-year-old actor Clayton Haymes, told KCBS-TV Channel 2 that Bautista, his landlord and manager, attacked him early Tuesday morning over an argument about winning Oscars. Haymes had returned home with his roommates after dinner and drinks, he said, when Bautista boasted that he would someday win five Oscars.

“When he said ‘five Oscars,’ we all just kind of laughed a little bit, and he got really upset,” Haymes told KCBS. According to Haymes, Bautista then chased him into a room, swung a knife at him, stabbed him, and fled. “I just don’t understand why he would want to do this to me because we’re friends,” Haymes said.

Variety is spice of Carol Burnett's celebrated career
After the resolution of rights issues that kept the first five seasons shelved for more than 40 years, fans can see a sampling of 16 episodes (with guest interviews and a backstage tour with the stars) in a new six-disc DVD collection, The Carol Burnett Show: The Lost Episodes (available Tuesday in stores, $59.95). (Two larger, pricier collections – 45 episodes and more bonus programming on 22 DVDs – are available at TimeLife.com.)
