'Pretty Little Liars' Finally Reveals Identify of "A" and It's an 'As the World Turns' Alum

During Tuesday's season six summer finale, Pretty Little Liars finally unmasked "A", and it was a familiar face to As the World Turns fans.

Vanessa Ray plays CeCe Drake on Pretty Little Liars.

"A" is Charles DiLaurentis, who later transitioned to become Charlotte DiLaurentis, whom we've known for years as CeCe Drake. CeCe is played by actress Vanessa Ray, who starred on CBS daytime soap opera As the World Turns as Teri Ciccone.

Many fans voiced their displeasure with the reveal on Twitter.

PLL executive producer Marlene King spoke with ET about what's ahead.

"There's a lot of great stuff," she teased. "It has been so much fun to make this five-year time jump and so much fun especially this season -- the season that will premiere in January. We’re kind of finding out together who these girls are five years later. Because it's a mid-season for us in the [writers'] room, it's not something that we talked about for months and months and months. We knew where they were going to go to school, we knew where they were going to be in their personal lives but as we bring them back to Rosewood, there's an even that happens that brings them all back together. It's just kind of fun exploring who they are they and they're having fun exploring their characters too."

King also spoke with EW.com to clarify many of the show's mysteries.
