I'm not the biggest DA fan but I do hope that by the end, Lady Edith is now a glamorous, sophisticated woman who saves the estate from the ruin brought on by her idiot family, who must grovel at her feet in gratitude.
ReplyDeleteLooks as if some of the 'downstairs' folk will become part of the 'landed gentry'. Daisy, Carson and Mrs. Hughes, Mrs. Patmore and the Bates' will all be property owners. I have a feeling by the end of the series, we may get a glimpse of them exiting DA and onto managing their lives on their own properties.
ReplyDeleteI'd love a Six Feet Under type ending where we find out what happens to them in the future as times change. The creator hasn't ruled out a film down the line so it doesn't seem like they're going that route. I'm looking forward to the final season; just wish we could watch it at the same time as the UK.
