1958: On The Edge of Night, Capt. Bill Marceau (Mandel Kramer) took McGinnis and Lowrey in for questioning.
1969: Joel Crothers aired for the final time on Dark Shadows. He played Joe Haskell and Nathan Forbes on the show.
1975: On Another World, after Rachel (Victoria Wyndham) accepted Mac's (Douglass Watson) marriage proposal at Iris' (Beverlee McKinsey) party, Liz broke away sobbing. Mac asked the guests to toast the future Mrs. Cory but Iris took the glass out of his hand and said, "No, Daddy... not in my house."
1978: One Life to Live and General Hospital each aired their final 45 minute episodes before expanding from 45 to 60 minutes per day on January 16.
1986: On Santa Barbara, C.C. (Jed Allan) stopped Gina (Robin Mattson) from injecting him.
1988: On The Young and the Restless, Cricket (Lauralee Bell) introduced Phillip (Thom Bierdz) to her mother, Jessica Blair (Rebecca Street).
1989: ABC aired the final episode of daytime soap opera Ryan's Hope. Maeve Ryan (Helen Gallagher) sang "Danny Boy" with the cast as the series ended.
1992: NBC aired the 7,000th episode of Another World.
1992: On Santa Barbara, Mason (Gordon Thomson) proposed to Julia (Nancy Lee Grahn).
1997: On Another World, Ghost Ryan (Pual Michael Valley) desperately tried to tell Jake (Tom Eplin) that Cindy (Kim Rhodes) was attempting to steal his coat.

2009: Hollyoaks began a story about bisexuality as Kris Fisher (Gerard McCarthy) and Ravi Roy (Stephen Uppal) started their affair.
