The second half of the third season of MTV's hit series TEEN WOLF came to a dramatic close last night with the finale episode drawing in 2.3 million total viewers and a strong 2.0 P12-34 rating, making it the highest rated episode since the January premiere. It was also Monday's #1 cable telecast.
The season, which saw the death of beloved character Allison Argent (series star Crystal Reed) in the penultimate episode, is the highest rated season to date and was Monday's #1 cable program with teens. This season, ratings grew 50 percent with +3 day playback to average a 2.7 rating among P12-34 and 3.1 million total viewers.
On the social front, last night's finale generated 855,000 tweets, topping out at 52 national and worldwide trending topics. Overall, TEEN WOLF is MTV's most social series ever and one of the top five most social series of 2014.
MTV recently announced that the series would return for a fourth season on Monday, June 23, 2014.
The first season of the TEEN WOLF after show WOLF WATCH averaged 1.3 million total viewers each week (Live+3), and was the #1 original cable series in the timeslot with P12-34.
