DEBBIE MACOMBER'S CEDAR COVE Begins Production on Second Season March 2014

Season Two of Hallmark Channel's DEBBIE MACOMBER'S CEDAR COVE will begin production March 2014 in Vancouver with an anticipated premiere in July 2014. Andie MacDowell, Dylan Neal, Teryl Rothery, Sarah Smyth, Brennan Elliott, Bruce Boxleitner and Barbara Niven will all return to the second season of the beloved series. Celebrated television producer, Sue Tenney, whose impressive list of credits includes co-executive producer and writer for the award winning, inspirational series 7TH HEAVEN, as well as LIFE IS WILD and THE EXES, has signed on as show runner for season two.

The first season of the critically acclaimed series has garnered tremendous popularity and success. DEBBIE MACOMBER'S CEDAR COVE season one premiered on Saturday, July 20, 2013 and was named the #1 primetime program on all of television and the #1 general entertainment program for cable in social media, the night of the premiere. The finale, which aired on Saturday, October 12, 2013, ranked as the top program on cable for Saturday (excluding sports). Over the 13-week run of DEBBIE MACOMBER'S CEDAR COVE (7/20-10/12/13), the series averaged a 2.0 household rating, making Hallmark Channel the #1 cable network in the Saturday 8-9pm time period. DEBBIE MACOMBER'S CEDAR COVE Season Two will be produced by Unity Pictures and distributed by Dan Wigutow Productions. Executive producers are Ron French, Dan Wigutow and Sue Tenney. Co-executive producer is Stephen Harmaty and producer is Connie Dolphin. Tenney is show runner. DEBBIE MACOMBER'S CEDAR COVE is based on the popular book series "Cedar Cove" by New York Times bestselling author Debbie Macomber.

  1. This is such good news. We now have HUNDREDS of choices with the Cable networks flooding programming daily. All the possibilities....and yet..THE HALLMARK CHANNEL is offering Cedar Cove and I think it is one (if only) series that is totally WHOLESOME , while telling a lovely story of the townspeople. Refreshing to watch, meet the people, and care about them and the town. Isn't it wonderful to watch an actual story without having to have blatant sex, violence and language slap you in the face throughout a story. Thank you HALLMARK and Debbie Macomber !!!
