Backstreet Boys to Perform at GTST’s Big Gay Wedding

Friday, January 24 is going to be a special day in Meerdijk, the fictional town where Dutch soap GOEDE TIJDEN SLECHTE TIJDEN (GTST) is set. On that day Lucas Sanders (Ferry Doedens) and Menno Kuiper (Dave Mantel) will get married. It will be the first gay wedding on the show, but that is not the only reason why it's special.

The Backstreet Boys will perform their song "Show 'em (What You're Made Of)" at the wedding party.

"They were very nice. Very cordial. Very inviting, you know, to us to come to the set," said Howie Dorough on working with the cast of GTST. "It should be a nice, fun segment of the TV show when it comes out."

Another reason why this wedding is going to be special is that a popular character from the past is coming back. Lucas' father, Stefano (Bas Muijs), was on the show from 1999 to 2005. He left town to be an art dealer in New York. Lucas went with him, but came back in 2009. And now Stefano is coming back for the wedding of his son. This will be the first time Stefano will be interacting with a grown up Lucas.
