I WOULD LIKE VERY MUCH IF ONCE JUST ONCE SOMETHING GOOD WOULD HAPPEN TO THE CHARACTER OF NICOLE. SURELY THE WRITER CAN FIND ONE THING GOOD AND LET HER BE HAPPY FOR A LITTLE WHILE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DeleteDays is great during sweeps. The pacing is better, etc. Reveals are pretty good. Usually the writing drags big time, so if the writers could keep Days going at the same pace as they do during sweeps, the show would truly be a contender for moving on up in the ratings! Stories need to drag less. Needs better pacing of stories like they achieve during sweeps. Stories need more mini-reveals heading towards the big reveal. Loved November sweeps episodes.
ReplyDeleteNothing for me to watch. Where is Marlena (Deidre Hall)? Wow always in top as a fan favoriate and given little screen time. Deidre and Drake deserve front burner story lines.
ReplyDeleteWhen Days is great: Sweeps. It needs to be good or great all the time. That means long stories broken into shorter sequences with min-reveals and cliffhangers until the bigger reveal. This could help speed the stories along a bit. Not every development deserves a scene. The show feels draggy except for sweeps episodes. Days is sooo close to being great. Just pick up the pace. Do some "will they or won't they" SLs: Like will EJ cheat on Sami with Abby? Put temptation in front of him and see how he handles it. Ultimately, good writing isn't necessarily what happens but how the characters "react" to what happens.
ReplyDeleteSoap writers need to remember one rule always: "Mama loves some drama!" Without drama that feels sincere, you get today's version of Y&R. Sorry, love Y&R but not enjoying it so much lately. Real drama on Y&R was about a decade ago: Kay and Jill duking it out in the attic was priceless. Nick and Dylan's "faux" drama not so much!
BTW Marlena has been on a few times during sweeps. I like DH; they could do a lot with her.
Ahh I miss Marlena on my tv lol!! I love DAYS & wish they would pick up the pace just a lil bit more & stop waiting months for somebody to get a lie or a secret out!!! & Abby better not try & get with Ej she already almost broke up Austin & Carrie!
