CBS Daytime Holiday Schedule, Includes Themed Episodes of THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS, THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL (Spoilers)


CBS Daytime will celebrate the holiday season with themed episodes in December on THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS, THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL, THE TALK, THE PRICE IS RIGHT and LET'S MAKE A DEAL.

The season is filled with love and hope this year on THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS, which is celebrating 25 years as the #1 daytime drama. Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) spend Christmas Eve with their daughter, Faith who makes a wish that her parents will reunite in the New Year. Love is in the air as Neil Winters (Kristoff St. John) struggles to find the right time to propose to his girlfriend, Leslie Michaelson (Angell Conwell). Meanwhile, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) make peace as they acknowledge a rocky year and toast to their future.

On THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL, it’s a beautiful and heartfelt Christmas as the Forrester family is reunited. Eric (John McCook) remembers past Christmases with his late wife, Stephanie, as he prepares the Forrester Mansion for his family’s celebration. He happily observes his children, as for the first time in years, Ridge (Thorsten Kaye), Thorne (Winsor Harmon), Felicia (Lesli Kay) and Kristen (Tracy Melchior) all arrive home for the holidays. Ridge, Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) and their son R.J. share a special moment together. Caroline (Linsey Godfrey) and Rick (Jacob Young) are excited to celebrate their first Christmas as husband and wife and both are surprised by the present that they receive from the other. Also, Eric begins a new family tradition to honor Stephanie’s memory.

THE TALK lights up the holiday season with celebrity guests, musical performances, festive host chats, celebrity chefs and daily December Giveaways from Wednesday, Dec. 18 - Friday, Dec. 20. Guests include actors Rob Reiner and Joe Manganiello, television personality Nick Lachey and music stars Mary J. Blige and Joan Jett, with special performances by Joan Jett and the Blackhearts and Il Volo. Also, singer Carnie Wilson returns to guest co-host on Wednesday, Dec. 18 and Thursday, Dec. 19. On Thursday, Dec. 19, chef Lourdes Castro cooks up a menu for a festive holiday tapas party and chef Susan Feniger prepares a hearty beef brisket on Friday, Dec. 20. Lifestyle expert Chi-Lan Lieu shares the season’s hottest gift ideas on Wednesday, Dec.18 and December Giveaways continue with “must-have” gift items for the entire studio audience. From Monday, Dec. 23 - Friday, Dec. 27, repeat episodes include “THE TALK Tells All!” segments, when each day a different host reveals a secret they had never before discussed publicly...or with each other. From Monday, Dec. 30 - Friday Jan. 3, repeat highlights include “The Best Man Holiday” cast show, “The Love Boat” reunion cast show, a show featuring Donnie and Marie, with actor Donnie Wahlberg (BLUE BLOODS) and singer guest co-host Marie Osmond, as well as the Halloween Peter Pan spectacular rebroadcast.

Daytime Emmy Award-winning game show THE PRICE IS RIGHT, daytime's #1-rated series and the longest-running game show in television history, is spreading holiday cheer with special themed episodes. ‘Tis the season, starting on Monday, Dec. 23 (11:00 – 12:00 Noon, ET; 10:00 – 11:00 AM, PT) when THE PRICE IS RIGHT decks the set with festive decorations for the first of two specials. Then, Tuesday, Dec. 24 (11:00 – 12:00 Noon, ET; 10:00 – 11:00 AM, PT) celebrity chef Rocco DiSpirito stops by to present a holiday-themed showcase. After Christmas, close out the year with the “Best of 2013,” when the show revisits some of the best moments, wildest contestants and most popular prizes from the past year, Monday, Dec. 30 (11:00 – 12:00 Noon, ET; 10:00 – 11:00 AM, PT). Plus, one lucky contestant receives a great gift when they become the biggest winner in Daytime THE PRICE IS RIGHT history.

LET’S MAKE A DEAL celebrates the holidays with a special episode featuring families who will compete as teams for trips, cars, VIP tours and gift cards, on Tuesday, Dec. 24 (check local listings for times). A five-night Christmas trip to New York City and a five-night trip to Hawaii await two lucky families who make the right deal. In addition, families will have the opportunity to win cars from Subaru, Hyundai and Jeep, a special gift card audience giveaway and a home entertainment suite including 100 hit movies.

The special daytime air schedule for the holidays follows:

TUESDAY, DEC. 24
* Original episodes of THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS, THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL, THE PRICE IS RIGHT and LET’S MAKE A DEAL will air in their regularly scheduled time periods.
* A repeat episode of THE TALK will air in its regularly scheduled time period.

WEDNESDAY, DEC. 25
* An original episode of THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS will air in its regularly scheduled time period.
* Repeat episodes of THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL, THE TALK, THE PRICE IS RIGHT and LET’S MAKE A DEAL will air in their regularly scheduled time periods.

TUESDAY, DEC. 31
* An original episode of THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS will air 12:30-1:30PM, ET, 11:00AM-12:00PM, CT and 10:00-11:00 AM, PT, due to CBS Sports coverage of NCAA Football: Hyundai Sun Bowl.
* Original episode of THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL will air in its regularly scheduled time period 1:30-2:00 PM, ET and 12:30-1:00 PM, CT, but pre-empted on the West Coast due to CBS Sports coverage of NCAA Football: Hyundai Sun Bowl.
* THE TALK will be pre-empted due to CBS Sports coverage of NCAA Football: Hyundai Sun Bowl.
* Original episode of THE PRICE IS RIGHT will air 11:00 AM-12:00 PM, ET, 10:00-11:00 AM, CT and 3:00-4:00 PM, PT due to CBS Sports coverage of NCAA Football: Hyundai Sun Bowl.
* LET’S MAKE A DEAL will be pre-empted due to CBS Sports coverage of NCAA Football: Hyundai Sun Bowl.

WEDNESDAY, JAN. 1

* Repeat episode of THE TALK, THE PRICE IS RIGHT and LET’S MAKE A DEAL will air in their regularly scheduled time periods.
