  3. Gosh, you'd think Y&R would have at least chosen a Thanksgiving-centric episode for Thursday. And really, it's not like we haven't seen that same ol' Kay-Jill fight in the attic countless times .. lol!

Based on current events, I would have suggested they rebroadcast the Thanksgiving show from November 24,1999. After all, they've recently been teasing both a possible Nick-Sharon reunion as well as problems on the horizon for Victor and Nikki. And in this classic episode, we see the former couple actually in a good place for the holiday, while it's the latter who who aren't on the same page -- with Victor off to New Mexico to help Ramona, and Nikki seeking comfort in the arms of Brad Carlton at The Lodge. But even more relevant, we'd also get DAVID TOM'S Billy shown frustrated over his unrequited feelings for Mackenzie; so after he leaves the Chancellor celebration (where we actually have Brock running things!), Billy returns to the Abbott family get-together for a very telling scene with his mother, Jill. Near the end, he's shown secretly chugging champagne, marking the genesis of screwed-up Billy Abbott.

    1. I think they figured out that Jeanne Cooper equals ratings, although you would never know from the fallout of Kay's death which was completely dropped in favor of Delia's death.

    2. Yeah, Roger, I get the focus on Jeanne Cooper. But really, the holiday episode I mention contains Kay as well (with BROCK no less!). I guess I'm just not very interested in seeing that overplayed attic scene one.more.time .. lol!
