FALCON CREST Reboot Idea 'Has Some Traction'

FALCON CREST stars have been approached by one of the original show's writers about their interest in appearing in a reboot of the CBS primetime soap opera that aired from 1981 to 1990.

According to TVGuide.com, there is a pitch and an idea germinating that has some traction.

"The producers contacted me to ask if I'd be interested," revealed William R. Moses, "and I said yes. Where it goes on the producing side, I don't know."

According to Sullivan, the proposed new series would focus on Moses' Cole Gioberti and David Selby's Richard Channing, son of the matriarch Angela (the late Jane Wyman).

"David and I speak periodically and are old friends and it would be fascinating for me to work with him again," says Moses, whose character exited the series after six seasons.

  1. Yes yes yes! Although the show was oftentimes uneven, I was a major FC fan. I skipped out early on my first high school party so I wouldn't miss an episode! If Susan Sullivan and David Selby are in, so am I!

    1. They killed Susan's character of Maggie off at the beginning of the ninth season. She drowned in her swimming pool. She won't be back.

    2. They killed off lots of characters in soaps and then somehow managed to think of a way to bring them back (.... a certain Bobby Ewing comes to mind, in Dallas!).

  4. It would be even better if they aired it on TNT right after the new DALLAS on the same night so we would have the one-two power punch of both shows again.

  5. They should never have killed off the Melissa Agretti character. Ana Alicia was the bomb, and she still looked great at the 2010 Falcon Crest Paley Center event.

    1. Robert Foxworth definitely needs to be in the FC reboot!. Cole should return with his
children attending the nearby Marin College after divorcing his Australian wife.
I would also like to have Lorenzo Lamas back as a nemesis for Cole and then have Melissa ( Ana Alicia) turn up alive ( her twin died , not her!). I also wonder about the rest of the cast such as Abby Dalton and Margarat Ladd ( if they're still acting).
