Production began today in Santa Clarita, California, for the ABC Family original series CHASING LIFE, the new one-hour drama that follows April (Italia Ricci), a smart, twenty-something, aspiring journalist whose romantic and professional life is just starting to take off when she receives news that she has cancer. The episode is directed by Steve Miner. The series is scheduled to premiere in 2014 on ABC Family.
CHASING LIFE is adapted from the successful Televisa Spanish-language Mexican television series and is a co-production of BV Family Productions, Lionsgate, and Televisa in association with ABC Family.
The series is executive produced by Sean Smith (GREEK), Susanna Fogel, Joni Lefkowitz and Aaron Kaplan (TERRA NOVA).
CHASING LIFE stars Italia Ricci, Mary Page Keller (ANOTHER WORLD), Aisha Dee, Richard Brancatisano and Haley Ramm.
Steven Weber (AS THE WORLD TURNS) and Scott Michael Foster (GREEK) were recently added as recurring guest stars.
I think Mary Beth Evans is recurring in this one (the upcoming series. She does not appear in the movie). One of the other soap sites did an interview with her and she mentioned it. Wish we'd hear something official from the show. Maybe someone could find out more, but I don't know.
