GLEE Will Address Deaths of Cory Monteith and Finn Hudson in Third Episode
“The third episode will write Finn Hudson out of the show,” Fox Broadcasting Entertainment Chairman Kevin Reilly said at the network's exec session at the TCA press tour today. “That episode will deal with the incidents directly involved with Cory’s passing, (including) drug use.”

Reilly did not confirm how the Finn character would die or whether or not it would be directly related to drug use. Reilly did add that there would be public service announcements that evening involving GLEE cast members.”

Reilly praised GLEE lead Lea Michele, “who has the most personally wrapped up in it and has been an extraordinary human being and pillar of strength.”

Secret Intelligence: Time to Draw the Line Against Spoiler Paranoia
TIME TV critic James Poniewozik writes: "I can at least understand why someone might have had that reaction. Anyone in the writing-about-TV business lately has probably had this thought at one time or another: 'That’s totally relevant to discussing the themes and direction of the new season, but if I write about it, someone out there is going to go nuts over spoilers. Ugh. Do I really need that?'

"I’ve begun to think of spoilers as something like a disease or allergy that suddenly spikes up statistically in a population. Some of the reasons for the increase are environmental (i.e., there are more actual spoilers leaking out there). And some are a matter of increased reporting (i.e., people have more outlets to complain about them, and other people are taking offense at info that would not have been 'diagnosed' spoilery in the past)."

Judge orders MODERN FAMILY's Ariel Winter to remain with her sisters, former ONE LIFE TO LIVE and BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL actress Shanelle Workman
According to the new court order, Ariel's mother "presented no evidence that there were any changes or repair of damage to their relationship" -- which has completely fallen apart -- so the judge shot her down.

Jennifer Aniston Disses Katie Couric: "Is She a Legitimate Journalist?"
Jennifer Aniston has never appreciated people prying into her personal life -- least of all Katie Couric, who hosts her own syndicated daytime talk show. During a July 31 appearance on E!'s CHELSEA LATELY, Aniston dissed the 56-year-old TV personality and debunked a recent tabloid rumor about life with Justin Theroux.

Handler admitted to Aniston that it's difficult being friends with someone so famous. "Katie Couric was asking me on her show about your wedding and I had to act like I didn't even know you were engaged because I didn't know that was out," she explained. "Then she was like, 'Well, everyone knows about it!' So, I felt really stupid."

Clearly annoyed, Aniston asked, "What's Katie Couric? Is she a legitimate journalist? Is she getting tabloidy? Wasn't she on the TODAY SHOW?"

"She was on the TODAY SHOW," said Handler, who accompanied Couric to the White House Correspondents Dinner in May 2010. "She got a demotion to her own show."

Michael Damian returning to THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS?
Eric Braeden (Victor) revealed on Twitter that Michael Damian (Danny) would be back on Y&R very soon. "He'll be on the show in a few weeks," Braeden posted. For his part, Damian tweeted: "I am a man of mystery and I am not allowed to confirm."

Hulu CEO insists: We don't think like a network
“We’re not really a network, we’re not really a studio,” Hulu acting CEO Andy Forssell told reporters during the Television Critics Association press tour Wednesday. “We’re a distributor at heart.” Forssell says Hulu goes out “looking for voices,” as opposed to networks that try to find shows that fit their point of view. “If there’s a theme, it’s that there is no theme.”

  1. Not too much mystery where Damian is concerned, since I would guess that he would be part of the Katherine Chancellor Memorial episodes (said to be airing September 3 & 4) - and he'll probably be party to the reading of her will - as he was in November 2008.

  2. I think Katie Couric could ask if Jennifer Aniston is a legitimate actress. "Wasn't she on a sitcom?" Pot, meet kettle. You're both black.
