SMASH Two-Hour Series Finale Preview

Photo: NBC
NBC's musical drama SMASH wraps up its second and final season on Sunday, May 26 at 9 p.m. ET/PT with two new episodes, "The Nominations" and "The Tonys."

It's a crucial moment for both shows as Tony nominations loom, but keeping your eye on the prize can be hard. As Tom (Christian Borle) crosses an influential Tony voter and Ivy (Megan Hilty) copes with some very distracting news, Derek's (Jack Davenport) past has repercussions for the entire "Hit List" team. On Tony night, the awards might not provide the answers everyone is looking for.

As Jimmy (Jeremy Jordan) faces a final reckoning, Tom, Julia (Debra Messing), Derek (Jack Davenport), Karen (Katharine McPhee), Ivy, and most of all, Eileen (Anjelica Huston) wait to see if the ceremony will confirm their place in the Broadway pantheon once and for all.

Watch a sneak peek below:

Rosie O'Donnell, Cheyenne Jackson, Ron Rifkin, and Bernadette Peters guest star.

  1. Iam so sad that this amazing show has been dumped. Love the show and am sick of so many reality shows. Everyone has done an Amazing job and I loved the Music we need more of this kind of shows. sorry to see this go.

  3. I loved the finale so much. I'm a sucker for happy endings and it was perfect for me. Jimmy's explanation was a bit forced but that was just a tiny quibble. I wish the Season 2 version of the show had been the one we saw last year. I loved SMASH last season too but a lot of people didn't and NBC wasn't able to get that bigger audience to try the show this year.
