Telemundo Studios confirmed it signed an exclusive multi-project deal with well-known Mexican telenovela star Aarón Díaz. Díaz, who has stared in numerous internationally successful telenovelas and participated in the ABC series PAN AM, will join Telemundo's growing list of over 35 exclusive talents. As the number #1 producer of Spanish-language prime time content in the US, Telemundo Studios currently holds the largest roster of Hispanic actors in the country producing over 1,000 hours of original scripted programming a year.
"Aarón Díaz is a well established and extremely popular actor in Spanish-language television," commented Joshua Mintz, Executive Vice President of Scripted Programming and General Manager of Telemundo Studios. "We are delighted he has joined our talent roster and will be starring in future Telemundo Studios projects."
Díaz’s, a native of Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, was offered his first role in a telenovela while still a student at Televisa’s Artistic Studies Center (CEA, in Spanish) in Mexico. In 2002, he appeared in the popular series "Clase 406," which stayed on the air for a record-breaking, uninterrupted one year and seven months. Since then, he has participated innumerous productions with great success around the world, including “Teresa,” “Barrera de Amor” and “Lola Erace una Vez.”
