On this date in...

1961: On AS THE WORLD TURNS, Penny (Rosemary Prinz) told Ellen (Patricia Bruder) the Bakers had extended the lease of the house she and Jeff lived in. Penny question whether Ellen should continue her custody battle, especially after Mitchell Dru told her she didn't have a case.



1964: Actor Michael Louden was born in Marblehead, Massachusetts.  Best known for his role as Duke Kramer in AS THE WORLD TURNS, Louden died in 2004 at age 40.

1967: On DARK SHADOWS, Roger and Carolyn met Barnabas (Jonathan Frid).

1970: On ANOTHER WORLD, Ada (Constance Ford) warned Rachel (Robin Strasser) she had better hang onto to Russ, but Rachel wanted Steve.

1975: DAYS OF OUR LIVES expanded to 60 minutes daily. DAYS had aired a one hour special on November 20, 1974 to test the longer episode with its audience.

1980: On THE EDGE OF NIGHT, Emily (Margo McKenna) tried to have sex with Draper.



1980: Stephen Brooks debuted as Joshua Fallon on DAYS OF OUR LIVES.

1983: Actor Walter Slezak died at age 80.  He had once played Laszlo Braedeker on the same soap opera his daughter (Erika Slezak) starred in.

1983: On ALL MY CHILDREN, Angie (Debbi Morgan) and Jesse (Darnell Williams) basked in the afterglow of their wedding night.



1987: On SANTA BARBARA, Sophia (Judith McConnell) was devastated when C.C. (Jed Allan) told her Eden's plane blew up in mid-air and she was dead.



1988: On GENERAL HOSPITAL, after Monica missed a meeting, Edward (David Lewis) told Steve (John Beradino) and Scott (Kin Shriner) he was worried about her.



1994: On ANOTHER WORLD, Jake (Tom Eplin) asked Lorna (Robin Christopher) out on a date.



2010: On THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL, Lt. Baker interviewed Stephanie about Beth’s accident and clears her of all wrong-doing. Donna (Jennifer Gareis) still blamed Stephanie for her mother's death.
