Actress Erin Chambers, who played Siobhan McKenna on GENERAL HOSPITAL, has joined the cast of THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS, according to Daytime Confidential. Chambers will be playing the recurring role of Melanie Daniels.Chambers will debut on June 5. Look for Melanie to mix it up with the Newman clan.
Since former GENERAL HOSPITAL executive producer Jill Farren Phelps took the reins at THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS, a few former GH actors have appeared on the show including Bruce Weitz, Ignacio Serricchio and Steve Burton. GH has been casting former (and current) Y&R actors as of late as well such as Emme Rylan and Maura West.
