Melissa Ordway Joins THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS

Melissa Ordway has joined the cast of THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS as the new Abby Newman, replacing Emme (Marcy) Rylan, according to Daytime Confidential. She debuts April 22.

Ordway starred in Nick at Nite's HOLLYWOOD HEIGHTS as Chloe Carter. She becomes the third actor from the show to join daytime's top-rated soap after Jill Farren Phelps and Josh Griffith moved from HH to Y&R.

Ordway's other credits include the Universal Pictures film Ted, directed by Seth MacFarlane and starring Mark Wahlberg. She will also be seen in Odd Thomas opposite Willem Dafoe and Anton Yelchin and The Incredible Burt Wonderstone opposite Jim Carrey and Olivia Wilde.

Ordway’s previous film credits include A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas, In Time, The Last Song, 17 Again, Elektra Luxx, Callers, Miss March andKnuckle Draggers.   On television, Ordway has been seen on CSI: NY, MELROSE PLACE, COLD CASE, HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER, ENTOURAGE and PRIVILEGED.

    Did JFP promise the entire cast of Hollywood Heights roles on Y&R?
