Coming off last Monday's opener watched by 2.98 million, TNT's DALLAS slipped another 25 percent to pull 2.23 million viewers, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The numbers were off less than its second episode drop last season (31 percent). DALLAS pulled 917,000 viewers in the adults 25-54 demographic.

Meanwhile, DALLAS fans have already boosted its premiere audience considerably through early time-shifted viewing. The two-hour season opener has risen to 3.7 million viewers in Live + 3 delivery, with key demos growing to more than 1.5 million adults 25-54 and 1.3 million adults 18-49.

  1. It is what it is. When the season is over, so is the show, so I guess the ratings is a moot point. RIP J.R.

  2. It's really sad to look at the list of crap shows that beat DALLAS in the cable ratings: wrestling, American Pickers, Black Ink Crew, Real Housewives, Family Guy reruns...ugh. Come on, people (or at least Nielsen families) have no taste these days.

  3. Doug, I agree. It's tough to look at cable ratings. And it's a miracle any of those networks commit to scripted shows these days. Maybe it's because people would pay for a cable channel to watch The Walking Dead but not Black Ink Crew. DALLAS has some great stuff ahead this year, plus the end of J.R. so I hope people tune in to watch. I'm not sure everyone has caught on that the show is back this season.
