Ginger Smith Named Showrunner Of ALL MY CIHLDREN

Ginger Smith has been named showrunner of Prospect Park's upcoming ALL MY CHILDREN revival, according to a new report at Daytime Confidential.

Smith rose through the production ranks at AMC over the years starting as an intern in 1988 and serving as a producer from 2004 to 2010, even writing for the soap in early 2008.

Rumors are circulating about many of the potential details for both ALL MY CHILDREN and ONE LIFE TO LIVE, including both shows possibly taping in tax-friendly Stamford, Connecticut. Talk shows like THE JERRY SPRINGER SHOW, THE STEVE WILKOS SHOW and MAURY have made the move to Stamford in recent years to take advantage of the considerable tax credits offered by the state.

TVLine confirms Prospect Park would like AMC and OLTL would each produce four half-hour episodes a week, plus a recap episode every Friday.

  1. I'm glad PP approached somebody who worked their way up at AMC, rather than hiring the same old hacks in daytime. Let's hope we get the same for OLTL. Like Suzanne Flynn or John Tumino, both worked their way up at OLTL and were part of Valentini's production team until the final 3 or 4 months.
