Thursday Night Ratings: THE VAMPIRE DIARIES Up, BEAUTY AND THE BEAST Steady

The overnights are in for Thursday, November 1. Below is a roundup of Nielsen ratings reports:

From The CW:
Last night's THE VAMPIRE DIARIES was its most watched and highest rated episode since its season premiere on 10/11, and saw big gains week to week in total viewers and key demos.

TVD was up 14% in A18-34 (1.6/5), 28% in W18-34 (2.3/7), 15% in A18-49 (1.5/4) and up 10% in total viewers (3.17M).

Compared to last season's fourth episode (on 10/6/11) TVD was up 20% in total viewers, 14% in A18-34 and 25% in A18-49.

BEAUTY AND THE BEAST also rose a tenth week to week in A18-34 (0.7/2) and a tenth in W18-34 (0.9/2).

On ABC, The CMA Awards earned a lowest-ever 3.8 adults 18-49 rating down 21% from a 4.8 for last year's telecast on Wednesday, November 9, 2011.

On CBS, PERSON OF INTEREST garnered a 3.0, up3% from last week's 2.9 adults 18-49 rating. ELEMENTARY scored a 2.4, up 9% from last week's 2.2 among adults 18-49.
