Women On TV Female Stars Step Off the Scale
There was always room in comedy for a fat friend, but it’s only recently that overweight women started being cast as romantic heroines or sexual temptresses. Donna on PARKS AND RECREATION, who is played by the actress and comedian Retta, has an active love life and a naughty streak. (She reads “50 Shades of Grey” at the office.)
Society is beginning to be more honest about the price some women pay to stay thin, helped along by celebrities who almost daily confess to eating disorders like bulimia, most recently Nicole Scherzinger, former lead singer of the Pussycat Dolls.

His first TV appearance was in 1984 when he was on the game show PRESS YOUR LUCK. He was 18.
"I racked up 10 grand, then got a Whammy," he said during a telephone interview from his home outside of Nashville, Tenn. "To me, that was like a million bucks. Then it all crumbled."
His first daytime drama appearance was in 1988 on DAYS OF OUR LIVES.
"I played the spiky-haired punk," he said.
On the set he met Steve Burton, with whom he would later costar with on GH (Burton just left the show).
There he would also meet his future wife. Melissa Reeves (Jennifer). He said they didn't start dating until February of 1989. A month later, they were engaged. They married in 1990 and have two children, Emily, 20, and Larry, 15.

“Sol turned up to work sporting a massive black eye but he didn’t want anyone to see it, so he went straight to make-up and got them to cover it up. He was trying to be discreet and said he had got the injury playing football. He then started filming his Christmas scenes at Nick’s Bistro, but when they were finished, production looked back at them and you could see it. In the end all the scenes he had just filmed had to be put in the bin and they had to re-write them around him. They told him to go home and come back when he felt better.”

"I grew up in the South, and I was born in St. Louis. So I like the (New Orleans) Saints and LSU - sorry Trojan fans and Bruin fans. NBA-wise I'm a fan of the Bulls. Growing up in Arkansas, we had no NBA team. I was a fan of what (Michael) Jordan was doing, so I fell in love with the Bulls."
