The daytime soap opera ratings are in for the week of October 15-19, 2012. GENERAL HOSPITAL delivered its most-watched week in 19 months in Total Viewers (2.78 million) and in 1 year in Women 18-49 (1.1 rating/672,000).
From ABC:
ABC stood as Daytime’s #1 network for the 7th consecutive week in Women 18-34 (0.6 rating/212,000), surpassing its year-ago audience by double-digit percentages in the younger key women demo. (+29% - vs. 0.5 rating/164,000), and was the #1 network for the 3rd week in a row in Women 18-49 (0.9 rating/551,000 – tie).
GENERAL HOSPITAL qualified as the #1 program in Daytime in Women 18-34 (0.8 rating/261,000), soaring to an 18 month high and up an impressive 83% year to year in the demo, while delivering its most-watched week in 19 months in Total Viewers (2.78 million) and in 1 year in Women 18-49 (1.1 rating/672,000) – since weeks of 4/11/11, 3/21/11 and 10/24/11, respectively.

CBS daytime talk show THE TALK, now in its third season, is network television's fastest-growing daytime program, according to Nielsen most current ratings.
This season THE TALK is averaging 2.29 million viewers, a gain of +330,000 viewers (+17%) from the comparable period last year, outpacing all other network daytime programs.
According to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending Oct. 19, THE TALK is up +11% in both viewers (2.18m from 1.96m) and women 25-54 (1.0/06 from 0.9/05) and even in women 18-49 (0.6/04) and women 18-34 (0.4/03) compared to the same week last year.
