On this date in...

1943: Radio soap opera LONE JOURNEY, sometimes billed as "the distinguished American radio novel," debuted on NBC radio. Sandra Michael wrote the show in collaboration with her brother, Peter. The Montana setting was a place she had lived: the show was based on real people and incidents.

1968: On DARK SHADOWS, Adam picked up Carolyn's body and carried her off.

1980: On THE EDGE OF NIGHT, "Kirk" and Emily's announced they wanted to move to Monticello and start a new life.



1993: On ALL MY CHILDREN, an injured "Tad" showed up at Dixie's door.



2009: On THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS, Ashley saw a vision of John and talked with her father as a snooping Adam wondered what was going on.

  1. I miss John Abbott...DAMN LML...she should never write a soap opera again! Big mistake having John die. I have such fond memories of John being a "rock" of the Abbbotts and how he always referred to Ashley since day one as "My Beauty"! I'm making myself all teary eyed thinking about it! LOL
